Fireworks Night Important Information

Friday 1 November 2024

There are just days until the Fireworks Night display returns to Midsummer Common!

This FREE Firework display will start at 7pm on Tuesday 5th November on Midsummer Common but head down early to enjoy the delicious food and entertainment which starts from 6pm.

Regarded as the safest and best way to enjoy Fireworks Night, the event is one of the city’s longest running and best-loved traditions, when thousands fill Midsummer Common to watch as the night sky is transformed into a kaleidoscope of colour.

Getting To The Event

With many attendees arriving immediately before and leaving immediately after the display, the common and surrounding roads do become congested. Please allow plenty of time for your journey and arrive early.

We'd like to encourage everyone to walk, cycle or to use public transport where possible when travelling to the event. Stagecoach are increasing their frequency of their Park & Ride buses for Fireworks Night until 20:30. Find out more here.
