Monday 1st July – Friday 5th July 2024: Work Experience Week
If you are in Year 10 of full-time education and seeking a work experience placement, spend a week at Cambridge Corn Exchange gaining a greater understanding of the industry and what it is like working behind the scenes daily. Throughout the week you will spend time alongside other students meeting various venue departments including Marketing, Front of House, Programming, Venue Management, and Technical alongside wider Cultural Services teams such as Arts Development and City Events taking part in practical tasks based on real life scenarios. There will be an opportunity to sit in and observe meetings, ask questions, participate in workshops, and shadow a team member of choice.

Monday 8th July – Friday 12th July 2024: Work Insight & Skills Experience
The award-winning Social Mobility Business Partnership programme for students in Year 12 and 13 provides you with the opportunity to develop key skills employers look for when recruiting. Spend time with five different high-profile cultural organisations in Cambridge where you will learn about their business, the career routes available to you, and develop key skills by getting involved in interactive business-like tasks. This year, these organisations are Cambridge Corn Exchange, Cambridge Film Festival, Cambridge University & Press, Fitzwilliam Museum, and Kettle’s Yard. You will also spend a day with the RAF learning about the psychology of resilience, coping mechanisms, and goal achievement models.
