Cambridge Live has announced details of its 2017/18 Cambridge Classical Concert Series.
Highlights include the return of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra who last performed at Cambridge Corn Exchange back in 2010; an outstanding concert by the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by its charismatic Principal Conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen; three concerts by the Corn Exchange’s resident orchestra the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; visits by a range of exciting, international world-class European orchestras; Cambridge University undergraduate music student, Jay Richardson, named as Composer in Residence for the second consecutive year; and the announcement of BBC New Generation Artist Esther Yoo (violin) as Artist in Residence.

In this, our biggest and boldest series to date, we will bring the very best classical music from around the world into the city’s landmark venue.’

Tickets are now on sale for people booking six, seven or all eight concerts. Savings of up to £122 can be made by taking out a full series subscription, which also includes a free ticket to the Z.E.N. Trio performance with Esther Yoo on Monday 2 October 2017. Tickets for individual concerts (and Multibuy savings for three, four or five concerts) go on sale on Tuesday 13 June 2017.
